tickedoff Long after the party Sherry was doing a load of clothes and we were getting ready to head back to Ellenton and the lights flickered. After that Sherry says "hey the water pressure is real low" I go out to the pump house and smoke is coming out. I open up the pump house and sure enough... So glad we are headed back to a home with water and it did not happen while some of you were eating a burger next to the pump house.  I can have someone take care of a new pump next week before we go back.

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you’re in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

Sorry for the bad luck on the pump.  I would turn the power off and remove the cover on the pressure switch.  Take a look at the contacts inside, the way it works when pressure is up it opens a pair of contacts and when the pressure is down it closes them.  If an ant or palmetto bug gets in there when it closes it will fry in there and insulate the contacts causing the pump to cease operation.
Thanks again for the hospitalilty.

I'm thinking it is the pressure switch also as it melted. LOL.  I wanted to blame Billie Boy for peeing to much and burning up the pump. LOL.  We will let the local pump peeps take care of it and it will b all better when we get back up Wednesday might.   cooldude
