Car horns mounted on kickstand cross member, wired with a relay.  cooldude

Plenty loud & not expensive. I've done all three of our Valks & the Shadow the same way.

Thanks TropicTraveler.  Hard for me to visualize that mod.  I have not, as of yet, looked up under my Valk.  I also have a center stand to muck things up too.

Sorry, not right now.  I have the Valk apart for annual maintenance.  Grumpy polished the forks to a mirror finish.  Front is apart right now.  Both exhausts are removed while I go thru the middle, and for this weekend when I will do the rear service.  When I get the horns back on I will PM you and send a photo.

Thanks Gil.  I put new pads on my Valk yesterday.  While doing I mic'd the rotors and both were about 4.65mm depending where I did the reading.  Has wavy groves but the pads are wearing in nicely.  Used wet/dry sandpaper to take any glaze off the rotor.  Still have to take a look at the rear pads and rotor.  Kinda tough with my hard shell bags in the way.  Guess I should do that today cause I've only owned it a couple weeks and it's got 53K on it.

hey Ron, tropictraveller set up is under the valk just in front of the swing arm bed. you have to rotate the picture to see the swing arm and the tire, the horn is bolted right in front horsintally. if you ahve a lap top just rotate it counter clock wise .  hope that helps

Thanks Larue.  I checked out the rear pads this morning and there is lot's of "meat" left on the pads.  Had to remove left bag to check it out.
