I just wanted to notify any of you who might be riding anywhere close to Sikeston, Missouri that there is one fine dining establishment loacated on route 62 which runs East/West through Sikeston. It's less than a couple off miles off Interstate 55. It is called Lambert's Cafe. The place is decorated in a rustic design and is really neat, They are known for being "The home of throwed rolls." They actually toss rolls to you as a novelty and it has made them quite famous. They were listed in "Southern Living" magazine as the number one restaurant and recipient of the reader's choice award. They are very biker friendly and even have a special parking area for bikes. There were at least 50 to 60 bikes there on Saturday. We had a group of ten people (six bikes) and we rode down there for lunch. I live near Mt. Vernon, IL which is about 150 miles from Sikeston. We took the scenic route down and back and had a great time. The menu offers a lot of choices and they serve large helpings. They also usually have two or three freebies that they pass around. Saturday it wad fried potatoes, fried okra, and macaroni in stewed tomatoes. Eveything was great. The only downside is there is usually a lenghty wait to get in especially around noon. If you're ever in the area give it a try. I am not affiliated in anyway with this place, just thought I would share a great eating place.
