Or Does Anyone Know Where I Can Purchase The Diaphram To Repair My Petcock? I Know That I Can Buy The Complete Petcock From Honda But All I need Is The Diaphram . Any Help Would Be Appreciated.
Thanks,Bert

Hey Bert,
I talked to HDL a while back and they had them or could also get them... I had called about
them for a friend who rebuilds HD petcocks... Uses the same one....

Thanks TJ and 98 Pacecar , I Ordered A Repair Kit Off Of E-Bay As 98 Pacecar Posted. It Sure Is A lot Smarter Than Purchasing The Complete Petcock For $115.00 ++.

#5 on this page is a Petcock Cover Set from Honda.  It is what I have used several times.

That K & L kit used to be about 6 bux from HDL.

You are much better off with the coverset, which fixes more things than the K & L.

I Took  The Whole Prtcock Off Of My Red & Black Std. And Put It On My Interstate So I Could Ride It Until I Get The Repair Kit.

I was a holdout on these petcock repair kits.  I put two of them in the interstate until the last one just barely got me home from Citra one day.  They kept wearing out where the small metal piece in the center rubbed on the rubber diaphragm.  Once it gets a pin hole it won't hold vacuum any longer.  I did find out that if you plug the weep hole on the bottom of the petcock with the end of your finger or anything else it will get you home in case anyone else has this problem.  Anyway after buying and replacing two I finally relented and installed a Pingel manual petcock.  You just have to turn it off when you put it away.  Here is a link to one place that sells the correct part #.  The reserve is only about 1/2 gal. so keep that in mind.  I think John modified his to make the reserve more like normal. The outlet on the Pingel is not as large as the Honda and you need a clamp on the fuel line if you replace it with the Pingel.

I do have a spare petcock repair kit left in case Iris's bike needs it.  I think some of those non Honda kits didn't have all the parts in them, but if it has what you need then who cares right?
