Bighead..GOTF... Gatherin' 'O' the Fools is a bbq get together..usually the weekend closest to April 1st...April fools day.  Man.. I have lost count... this will be the 16th or 17th annual....  but we always have an XXXtra large time.. because of the good folks that come and make it a GREAT time!!!!!  This was a Valkyrie gathering that started before the VRCC...  but the VRCC makes up the most of the folks that come!  Flamingobabe and I have a GREAT time doing this,  and it is a good way to start off the riding year, visit with friends and see family again!!!  We have made the gatherin' into a benefit for the Texas Lions Camp for disabled kids.. This has been a benefit that does good work and is close to our hearts...  It is good to know that 100% of the money we give to the Lions Cub goes to getting the kids to camp ! .  Hope ya can make it to the GOTF!!!!

Vacation time submitted... We'll be there with the whole crew!

And while we're reminiscing, here are some pics I took at my first 5B's GOTF BBQ back in 2001:

Worst part of it is, I can smell the Que, and I'm working my arse off to try and make it this year.

I been trying for 5 years now and as of this writing, I haven't been able to make it happen.   I was there twice in the past, I want some GOOD Que.   So far this is the best in the US of A.

O2 requirements put a clinker in da depository.     Got my O2 people working on it already.

Brenda, (O2 supplier) said some new equipment is on the market and it just might make it possible.   Told her I wouldn't hold my breath to see.  She laughed and told me to come down and fill out some papers.

Went down December 15, 2013, filled out the papers, Brenda filled out some more, and said sign John Henry here.  So I signed it John Henry, she just about split a gut laughing.    Some of the fellow employees she works with said that was the 1st laugh out of her all day so far.   Earlier I guess she was a BITCH, big time.      She can be a nice lady and in .00005 of a second can be a full size life Bitch.

I called her earlier this morning to see how things were working out.   Told her who I was and she said I can't find anything in the system for you.  She asked how to spell my last name, told her, there was dead silence, and then she let me have it with both barrels. Told her I was looking for the  stuff for John Henry.    There was a large silence and then a get big belly roar.    Then she woke up and said yes, the company had bought 2 of these new concentrators, and one was reserved for John Henry for the 1st of April.     So, one of these weekends in the very near future, I'll go pick it up on a rental and see how it works for me.

I've got my fingers crossed, my eyes, my arms, my legs, and anything else I can cross hoping for a Large perfect answer that it will work.

Wish me luck.

It will work on 12V or 120.    In the truck use the concentrator, get out take a tank with me, come back turn on the concentrator.    Go to bed, plug the concentrator in, plug my C-Pap into it and go to dream land.   Get up go to the Que and set by an outlet and run Hot Glue's electric bill up.   Sounds good on paper, but actual use, I'm still a little shaky.

I confess RJ, (that is if you meant me never been to GOTF), I've been to every single one since the the VSG was involved. Heck I used to bring goodies from DFW Honda that they would donate, even raffled off tires too. It's always a LLarge time and even now for a great cause. HG and FB both host a gathering that's over the top!
