Sorry it took so long to get these on the board, but here we are! The weather was pristine and Jerry & Sherry took us on some great backroads that introduced us to the real "hill country" of Brooksville.

Shiny chrome and smiling faces:

Met new friends Caroline and Warren who were visiting from western Canada. She's on a Honda VTX 1800 and he's on the Valk. Wonderful people. Hope to see them again next winter.

Jerry and Todd discuss the mysteries of passenger highway pegs (no plumber's crack here!):

More talk of motorcycles and great rides:

If you're gonna mug for the camera, Jerry, be prepared to pay the price:

A rest in the shade after all that good food:

Pennie, how did you manage to get John Pauls bandaged finger/hand to look like mine.  LOL  He sliced it up on a razor blade.

Sorry to miss this ride.  Noticed your home base is near where I will be passing through in June.  Maybe we can cruise some as I pass through.

Grin Oh yes, our ski resort is on water, our highest hills on ramps of I-75, our twisties are slight, but their alright. Our northern brethren are looking out the window like thing 1 and thing 2 we're enjoying the weather mid 70 degrees, and riding too. Sure our spring and summer rains will give us a blow, but we ain't in the cold shoveling snow.

There once was a man from Alexandria, who shoveled snow until he had diarrhea (er... a really sore back).   crazy2

The only hills in my neighborhood are fluffy and white.  If the snow plow makes a pile in front of the driveway again...... I'm gonna give him such a finger.

To our northern friends who are making fun of our Florida hills ... I know they are no nail-biters, but here's what we experienced on Saturday (WARNING .... hold on to something stationary as you view video):

And here's what everyone else experienced:

cooldude  cooldude  Hey, great little video Pennie! Riding those roads this time of year is fantastic! Sherri and Jerry have scouted out some really nice routes through the Brooksville area. Bert and Sherrie's area up in the Ocala Forest also offers so many riding experiences for us. If we were ever to host a "winter" Inzane, I know folks wouldn't be disappointed as we do have so much to offer. Just this season we have had several of our northern brethren visit us on outings and meet ups.
I find it very exciting to be able to share our area and meet new friends from the north. It is an honor when folks like JimmyT (Hayhauler), Jess, Bighead and others show an interest in our riding here in Florida and like Pennie say's, "come visit us soon"! As we hold out our hand in hospitality, you can be sure that they will do the same when we have the privilege to ride in their geographic areas. This is what makes the VRCC such a fine group. Let's enjoy the free intra-state travels while we can; in the not too distant future, that may not be possible.

Y'all are all invited to the GOTF (Gatherin' O The Fools) over in Friendswood, TX the first week of April.  (Closest to April Fools day).  Some good BBQ and some of the best people that you have ever met.  Mostly Valk riders of course.  We don't give a care what you ride, just show up for the tire kickin' and eatin'.

Here is a link to the sign up thread on the General Board.  He needs a head count to know how much meat to buy.
http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,65072.msg635072.html

Hope Y'all can make it and thanks for taking us along for the rides you guys and gals take.

Thanks for the invite Hay! I had really hoped to make this year GOTF. Seems like all the folks for Florida that I asked and had some interest have other obligations.  Sad

Seriously, is anyone from Florida interested in doing this trip? I figure on two days to get there, two or three there, and two back. Should be a great trip. Let me know, we still have time to set something up. cooldude If I remember correctly, HotGlue is in Austin area, or maybe I've got it mixed up with some others from Texas I met in the past.

The GOTF is in Friendswood, TX, just south of Houston.  Take I-10 all the way here.  There now, that's not as far as the Austin area, 4 hours nearer.  Smiley
