are in the house!  We left Frisco this morning and made it in this evening.  It was a beautiful ride today (except for about 50 miles in the rain).

Through all of the generous donations, the auctions, ticket sales, etc., the members of the VRCC at Inzane IX contributed a total of $5,874.00 to the Starlight Childrens Foundation!  WooHoo!  The generosity of our group sure does make me proud to be a member of the VRCC!  You guys ROCK!

I believe we met last summer in Olathe (I followed you to your house).  I have met several other Valk riders in the area and was wondering if we might be able to coordinate a local ride.  Any thoughts?

I second that! We talked about that at InZane. I propose we pick a "second Saturday" of a month and ride to Weston, MO. Second Saturdays are where the shops stay open late and there's food, music and entertainment until Midnight. There's a winery, brewery, antiquing and O'Malley's underground pub. There's also quite a few B&B's for those that want to make it a weekend. This link http://www.westonmo.com/entertainment/calendar.html is the schedule of entertainment. For more info go here: http://westonirish.com/.  It looks like the big event coming up is this Fall in October 9,10,11. I volunteer to work on the most scenic route. It's only about an hours ride from anywhere in the KC area. Whadd'ya say??  cooldude

Altho I don't see myself making any Kansas runs in the near future, I just wanted to say it was great working and riding with Willow and Motomama. I Hope to do it again soon!

I'd like to get all the Kansas and Kansas City area VRCC riders together for a day.  What would be good?  Should we cross the Missouri or gather in the center of the Universe (Lebanon, Kansas)?

Thanks, Michael!  I've always enjoyed riding with me, too.

I'm a little picky, John.  There are only a few riders to whom I defer.  Michael and I actually rode in a larger group most of the time.

I will say that I was a wee bit surprised when I looked in the mirror at a buck fifteen and saw that red and white fender coming on.   Wink (We were doing a demo ride for a gentleman on a well known American made brand of motor scooter.)

Not wanting to intrude on this thread, but I may have to follow this thread for a while.  I have a job offer in Maryville and may be leaving Oklahoma and moving into the area around October.  The last time I was in weston was about 15 years ago.  Is the Distillary still open?  I heard it burned/closed or something.

The distillery stopped giving tours several years ago and the rumors have it that some of the drinking got stupid there. You can still get 5 cent shots at a downtown distillery shop. But yes, the distillery is still in operation.

Thanks for the info.  I hadn't planned on the tour again, but was just curious.  It appears Weston has more going for it than I remembered.  Maybe, the move won't be so bad after all.

Willow I would like to make this happen as well. I missed meeting a lot of the Ks. folks at InZane, but would like to see us get a Ks. ride in together some how. Let me know if I can assist, I will do what I can. JDW

I'd be interested in getting together with the other Kansas & Kansas City riders also.
