Using search there seemed to be some back and forth on this.

I think this is what I took away from it:

You can use an IS rear wheel with that IS rear rotor on a standard with no other modification.

So as long as the wheel and rotor stay together, you can put it on and year and model?

Is this correct. A more recent post referenced a spacer as well. The spacer I hadn't heard before.

Can someone confirm what's needed?

I think people get in trouble when they mix rotor styles with wheel styles...

I think when the wheel has the rotor style that came on it, it is good to go on
any bike.

I have '99 Interstate wheels on my 2K Tourer, and either 02 or 03 wheels on my '99 Interstate. As spares, I have a set of 4K mile rotors, front and rear ready to go on either if needed.
