Anyone from this FL chapter going to Sturgis this year? I have been wanting to ride out there for years, wondering if anyone here is riding out?  Roll Eyes

Actually, it's on my girlfriend's list as well so that is a green light as far as I am concerned. Too many irons in the fire this year though to do it. We also want to change out her bike from the VStar 1100 (which is a pretty reliable steed so far) to a VTX 1300 or something else before a trip like that.

We go every few years.  Not this year.  Really prefer the week after or before the official week. 

Our preference is really the Black Hills.  So staying in Custer or Hill city is cheaper and more to our style.  Our visit to the Sturgis event lasts about 1 hour getting a shirt and hat.

If you go I suggest riding Spearfish Canyon, Iron Mt run, and the wild life area east of Custer.  Carry crackers for the animals.  Be cautious around the Bison.
