I put an answer over there for you as well but..............
The needle will have no positive effect as long as the primary or idle jet is plugged up. Time to visit the carbs or at least that carb.

Maybe a good strong dose of your favorite fuel treatment. The only one that I've had fix something that bad is "Berrymans B-12 Chem-tool" Get some in there and run it, let it sit, vacuum/suction drain the bowls, repeat. Better than pulling carbs, worth a try. It has worked for me more than once and I've done it for others. I have some  60ml syringes if you need. Then non-ethanol fuel if possible. I add Lucas fuel system cleaner and upper cylinder lubricant when non ethanol is not available. I always try to come home empty and fill up here with the non-ethanol. Way to much of this going on in the Valkyrie community. I can come and help on weekends if you need another set of fingers.

I decided to go ahead and pull them, also ordered a set of 38 slow jets. I am thinking the tank had some crud that was sucked in when I started it, so it will get cleaned also. I have a Dan mark valve that I will put in while it is apart.

I've been following your Tech thread Bill. Hear you have done some fantastic work on your new ride!
Looks like you have the diagnostics covered. Like you say, it will give you a chance to install your Dan Mark. A pain in the butt to be sure. Hope all is well.
