are enjoying their ride after Flagstaff to Carlsbad Caverns.

Saw that they have a big fire going in the Oak Creek Canyon area:

Yeah my wife told me about the fire last night. We went down 89a when we left Flagstaff Sunday morning. It had been 15 years or so since we had been thru there and I forgot how scenic it was. It is a shame it's going to be burnt up . I think those guys were going to ride the mountains in N.M. so they should be ok.

They left my place this morning in a south-westerly direction. Carlsbad may or may not make the cut this trip.

Hey Gary

I was right it was Rock Springs. I watch for it on my ride home on Sunday. They put a new billboard on the end of one of the building that says Pie Time. Here is the link:

I got a text earlier tonight from Dave and he and John will be home tomorrow. Dave hurt his ankle and he doesn't feel it will hold up for seeing the Carlsbad Caverns. He sent me a pic yesterday, but it's a bit too gruesome for public display.

Rightbackatcha!  cooldude

Hey Ron, if you do the Google satellite map version of that parking lot, that two story place on the far right end of the lot, from the freeway, is the place I saw. But it seemed more colorful than just the red trim showing in the current satellite version though. Either way, its added to the list for must stops! Thanks for the follow up and thanks again for setting us up with some great highways to tour! Well done!  cooldude

Sheesh....that is too bad. Hopefully it will heal quickly.
