Heat shield issue

The metal strap to the heat shield came apart from the shield
I glued it with JB weld. Does anybody know if it will hold up to the heat? Package says good up to 550 degrees. I'm sure the best fix is to weld it back together but that's not in my skill set or tool box
(although it's something I would like to learn).

I have a set of 36" on order now and they are out of stock :-\they called me and said they would have them by the 2nd week in June
but I will be on the road up somewhere in the land of Canada
so I will have to tell them to hold shipment til 1st of July
but it will be worth the wait

You can buy 4" chrome exhaust from any Mack Truck dealer. We have some trucks that has never seen soap and water or wax that are 10 to 12 years old and the chrome stacks still look great. I keep my truck's pretty clean however I've never waxed them I drive a 2007 Mack and a 2013 Cat and the chrome is sweet on them. Not 100% sure but I think Cat also has 4" I.D. exhaust.

So if I go to a truck dealer do I ask for a 4" inside diameter or outside diameter pipe?
