Now if the EPA will just listen to the AMA, we might get better availability on non-ethanol fuels.

I agree, definitely hurts mileage and has made a lot of small engine mechanics a lot of money.  Now to convince the Midwestern farmers that it is better for their wallets to grow corn for food than for alcohol.  I don't know if this is true or not but they probably get some sort of subsidy from the government that their congressman got them for selling it to make alcohol.

A subsidy of nearly 110 million last year alone Terry. It is not only damaging to engines not specifically built to run alcohol, it is costly to produce and enter it into the refining system. Congress is currently trying to end some of the subsidies but we know how that goes. Wish them luck.

It's good that it has been acknowledged the problem exists, but just try to get a government program to stop let alone reverse course. Angry
