I said I would not mod this bike.  Yeah, that lasted as long as it took for the ink to dry on the check.   ???

I have several things coming ... mostly small stuff ... Kuryakyn grips in black, risers that I prolly can't use, brake pedal extension, short range levers (I'll do some Ironbraid when they fit), Utopia backrest, yada, yada.

But, now ... I'm wondering about other stuff I typically add to my bikes.  One is Powerlet outlets to charge the batter, run a radar detector, charge a phone, power a GPS, heated vest, etc.

But, I'm looking for some ideas / suggestions.  Where would you mount a Powerlet outlet ... maybe 2? ... on the bike?

One of these can go in the "glove box" just under the left handlebar (I think the adapter plug will fit the supplied plug directly under the glove box):

You can also get a typical cigarette lighter outlet from any auto parts store (the weather resistant ones are best) and wire it to the battery through a (fused) relay controlled by the accessory port of the relay box so that it turns on/off with the key.

Yeah, we all start out with good intentions then we get caught up in things don't we?  Grin

I think I might go with this powerlet option on your bike, very flexible mouning options, pretty much any existing bolt will do and it comes in black.

Thanx, Dave .... yeah, there are many options.  I think I want something closer to the handle bars for the GPS/radar detector hook ups.  I've had them 'hard wired' on a couple bikes, but like the idea of being able to just unplug if wet weather comes in.

The bolt mount may be good for heated vest / clothing, or battery tender.

Tooooo many choices!

Yeah, maybe .... something in black, tho.  I think Powerlet has a plug with a ball mount attached so a GPS / Escort can be attached.

I may get a couple different hook ups.  Heck, I should check some of the boxes in the garage from other bikes I've had 'stuff' on and now are in storage.
