I have a 99 Valkeryie that I just had a custom paint job on, Indian theme, beautiful. Got it all back together but now it won't start. Iv'e checked all the fuses, plugs, every connection I can find and everything looks ok. All the lights horn work perfectly. I took the starter switch apart the points are barely worn but I think its ok. There are 4 wires going to it but only 1 is hot with the key on. HELP

Did you triple check the kill switch? I also had to slightly pry up the contacts on my stater switch.

Did you remove the center cover to paint? The tip over switch on the back of the center cover needs to be rightside-up...

At your starter switch with key on, you should have power on two wires, black/red for head lamp and black/white for starter relay. If you do not have power on black/white it can be the engine stop switch or the bank angle sensor.

Thanks to everyone, it turned out to be the switch on back of the front cover, I had put it on upside down. I would have never found that. My girlfriend says thanks too, now she don't have to look at my ugly face all weekend.

Another example how good this site is! Glad you got her going again. Are you going to post some pics of your newly painted bike?

"Ugly face"? Is that like the "bitter beer face"? Is it the "broke bike face"?
