I'm thinking about bidding on a set of Tourer Saddlebags and these are the brackets that are included with them....

I already have a set of the Honda OEM Leather bags, and the above pic is what I have with my leather bags.
I may be  uglystupid2 , but,  will they also work as the mounting brackets for the Tourer Hardbags??   Shocked
If so, I could save some $$ as I was thinking I'd also need to get ...

or maybe this one instead?..
Why does this one wrap around the tire and connect both sides? Wouldn't that preclude adding one of these....

Nope, the tourer/interstate bag mounts are way different.

The second picture is missing the 'U' shaped piece, it is necessary.
The third picture is missing the bag shields.Could probably live without it but I would'nt.
The fourth picture are bag guards. They do not replace anything as far as bag mounts. They are in addition to.

Thanks lots. Thats what I wanted to know.

One more thing.
Are the 2 black, flat pieces in the 2nd pic the "bag guards" that you speak of?

Didn't notice the piece was missing when I bought my 98 Tourer. The bags seem tight
I've put 100K on the bike without the "U" shaped piece.

The BLK pieces are the heat shields between OEM hard bags and the exhaust pipes.
