Flew out to Memphis then North about 65 miles to see Lesa. She is in the process of getting her house ready to sell. We chose the hottest 3 days of the year to paint her wood deck and front porch....... I swear the days before and after it was nice and cool....like a max of 80 degrees. Figures!
Drove back in her Yukon filled with "stuff" as she calls it. Stopped in Smyrna Tenn. to see a buddy of mine I used to work with. Stayed a day and a half there and we ended up working non-stop on vintage outboards. We brought three of them back to life and perfect running condition and a 4th is in progress by the time I left this morning. Good to be home. Caught up on the board. Looks like you guys and gals had a good ride this past weekend! Way to go!

Hey Billy!
Would love for Ron to ride with us! Would be about damn time after all !!
Lordy.....I had to come home and back to my part time employment just to get some rest!

This is an early 1950's Sea King 5hp with integral tank we got running. Missing the side covers in the photo. These engines had that cool old Art Deco 50's look to the styiing.
Had not been run in over 40 years! Ran like a watch when Dan (Big Bird) and I got done with it.
Dan's Test tank is/was a double walled, insulated Stainless steel milk cooler.
He built himself a 60x40 two story shop! Floor in the second story was built to hold some serious weight. Engines (and a couple old BMW motorcycles) on both floors and he is buying more.

Glad you said that was a test tank. Was going to tell you that will never float, and the water is supposed to be on the outside, along with the motor.  Grin

Milk cooler huh? The old well house on the farm was just brick covered in cement, filled with water pumped by the windmill overhead. Cold as ice but it sure kept the milk cold as well. Fresh cold milk over freshly picked strawberries. See how easy it is for old minds to wander.  Cheesy
