more info on the site.  cooldude

1999 - The Austone Brand was born.  The name originated from ‘Australia No. ONE’.  Manufactured by the Chengshan Group.

2006  - Austone accelerated it’s pace to the global market after forming a joint venture between Cooper Tire and Rubber Company and Shandong Chengshan Group.  At the time Chengshan was China’s 3rd largest tyre manufacturer and Cooper was the 9th largest global tyre manufacturer.

2007 - Austone was awarded Gold and Silver medals in the 10th International Show of Russian Rubber and Tire Industry.

2011 - Austone tyre exports reach more than 100 countries.

Austone is a Premium Product. With excellent road grip, high performance in wet and dry conditions due to it’s unique tread pattern and strong side-walls - this tyre proves to be an excellent choice for key performance at a competitive price.

Love my Austone!  I recently ordered another and will have it installed when my current one gets to the wear bars.  Great handling characteristics solo and two up, and good in the twisties.

Also, some have reported this tire rubs the fender well especially two up; I have never had any rubbing issues two up and fully loaded.  I think the key is 13" heavy duty Progressive 44X series shocks.  I'm currently running 13" HD 444s and love the setup.
