Starter switch assembly

Instead of trying to fix my switch, I bought the whole assembly. Has anyone ever installed one of these? Just wondering where this wire is routed and does the tank need to come off. Looks like it is plug & play once I find where the other end goes...lol

It just runs down the handlebars and into the back of the headlight bucket. There is a 9 pin plug on the end, find it in there and replace the harness with the new one.
