Hi everyone,

First post here and glad to be aboard!

Would anyone care to guess when we might see slipons (exhaust) from the likes of Rush, Cobra, Vance & Hines or anyone for that matter?

Not really wanting to remove or drill out stock baffles on the new Valk but definitely yearning for a bit more sound than what the stock exhaust provides.

Cobra has them for the f6b, it's only a matter of time.

They will be complete exhaust, headers to tips.      The exhaust on our old ones is one complete unit.

However my 97 (MGM) does have a slipon.

The company I got them from is no lnger in business.

Definitely not doing a 'full exhaust system'.  I know that both Rush and Cobra make slip-on exhaust for both the Goldwing and F6B.  The only difference in the slip-ons for the aforementioned and new Valkyrie is length.  The Valks will be a bit shorter as they won't need the extra length to clear the hard bags.

I'll continue to wait patiently ........  Sad

I'd like the 'slip ons' somewhat longer than oem.  Sticking out maybe 2-4" beyond the rear fender would look kewl, IMO.  I have some slip ons attached to my Wing that are about 3" beyond the bags.  Keeps bags cleaner and I think looks better, too.  Good sound as well.  Think Mustang bought out the original guys design.

I'm surprised that Honda didn't make the ends of the oem mufflers replaceable.  That would allow for many different options and lengths.

The Flat 6 motor does not lend itself well to a more 'mellow/deeper' tone.  Even Mark T's (I think it was him) that tossed some glass packs into the oem original Valk's tubes made them a hummer, and not anything like HD sounds.  Different bike, different motor, different # of cylinders, yada, yada.  But, I did like the better sound M T's made compared to oem.

I'm not sure I'll be changing out the mufflers.  I typically do, but not sure at this point in time.  The bike needs more sales, more folks wanting stuff for the aftermarket to come up with mufflers, windscreens, risers, farkles.  It'll take time.
