There was some previous talk about an issue with a Redeye o-ring (the red one) that made mating  of the rear wheel  and rear differential difficult - Which o-ring was creating the problem?

I am going to use the Redeye o-rings and would rather not have the problem and use the oem o-ring in the probmatic ones  place.  Thanks in advance, (was having issues in the archives)

Redeye makes good stuff, but I've always used these. They're real good
and the price is right...

I'm sure if there is an issue, Rich at Redeye will tell you.

Just hours ago I finished the rear end maintenance on my bike, first time with the Red Eye o rings.

My first time was with the Honda rings.

Just follow the enclosed instructions.

A few good whacks on the final drive and everything slipped into place.

The "hidden" 3rd o ring and the big  o ring on the five pin spline are slightly thicker than the Honda OEM o rings, and with the material the red eye o rings are made from, makes it a little harder to slip the wheel assembly back onto the final drive.

I also replaced the dampers in the rear wheel, what a difference.  Got rid of the slack in the drive line. I guess the 15 year old dampers were just a little loose.   Wink

Looking forward to my next ride  cooldude
