Honestly I don't think I can ride in this sweltering swamp again until it gets down to just HOT again. I have been on a few short rides the last couple of days, and it is just unbearable

Got that right, trying to work in the shop today, 105 degrees inside, and my neighbors wonder why I work at night.

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you’re in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

We rode to Ocala Saturday, miserable heat. Road home at dusk and got caught in a torrential downpour on I-75, flashers would be real nice. Then the tiny little bugs were out in force. No body parts or guts, just a little wet splat. They feel like mist hitting your face. I did see two other Valkyries, one Yellow and Cream with Leatherlyke bags crossing Howard Franklin bridge and one Green and Silver Interstate around Wildwood. I did not recognize either rider as VRCC.

76 degrees as I type this at 0624am here in the COOLER part of the state. Haven't even thought about riding in this stuff. Of course one of our members loves it. Hope he is getting his fill of HOT riding.

Too hot to ride, so we figured that being on the water might be better. It wasn't! We were out in the kayaks yesterday morning early; in by 9 and out by noon. No breeze, floating on 89 degree water; full sun, no shade. Hotter than hades, like being in a microwave with a steambath built in. Hard to breath anything cool. Too damn hot!

Low of 53, high of 83 here in the NC mountains. Low humidity and a 0% chance of rain, sorry (sarcasm font on!) I'm not there to share in the joys of Florida summers, hee hee.
Just sayin! I'll be back come late October when it's habitable once again Doug, your ride home sounded especially vexing, no fun to be caught in those "toad stranglers" In the meantime be safe!

The boat was no better, and jumping into 100 degree Gulf sucks. August is a great month to get out of FL

Hey, Tropic...we'll get our revenge this winter when it's in the 40s (let's hope) or foggy and our hot-weather members don't want to come out and play.

That's why I live in Florida. I'm just baffled how the hell I ended way up here in the frozen tundra of Marion County. I think it has something to do with her.
