At least she turned over just not enough juice to start. So I guess I got a bad battery? But what reading should I get at the battery if she is runnming, 12vac ? at the batt. Dont want to buy a battery if she is not charging.

If you tried to start it off of a charged car battery and it turned over but would not start then it sounds like you either had a poor connection with your booster cables or have a bad ground from the engine to the frame.

around 13-14 Volts DC.  But check all the connections on both ends of the cables and the 55A charge fuse under the right side cover next to the small blade type fuses.

Your having so many problems with that old, worn out, bike you should just sell it to me. How does $4K sound? I only offer so much because I love the color.

Just kidding, cooldude beautiful bike. But the offer stands, I am a man of my word. Grin

The running voltage changes dramatically at ~1000 to 1200 rpm.  At idle, it should run high 12's to low 13's, but jump to ~14 V as soon as you get much above idle.
I'm assuming that was a simple typo when you said volts AC...
