Yep they are out up here. We had over 2 1/2" of rain this morning due to a stationary front.

On a trip to Key West one year with my son, we ran into those bastards.
I sold my bike about 3 years later.
I knew the shop owner personally where I traded.
On the next ride he sponsored he found me and asked what the hell I'd run through with that bike before I traded it off.
Told him I had went through those Love Bugs 3 years prior in Florida. He said the detailers are still cussing that bike.
I know I had a hell of a time getting them off the windshield and the front of my pants legs.

I can't remember...how long do they stick around? They were exceptionally thick today Greetings from the Pan-handle Tundra! Those nasty bugs are just now starting to show up this way. Living up here all my life I think they will be bad for a couple weeks now and by the end of the month close to being gone! They will surely eat up your paint if you don't clean it up quick I'm sure you know. So I expect to see them most of a month this way! Best to you!

So they copulate, stay hooked together for good, and smash into cars, trucks and bikes (then eat the paint off). Sounds like some college parties I attended. Keep them down there.

Cripes, mowed the yard a little while ago, never seen any until I started cutting the grass, then had a cloud of them flying around. I hate them.
