I learned a couple of new things.

- Do not do any major modifications right before a big trip.
- If something does go wrong on the bike the first thing you should check is the last thing you touched.

I've learned that if you do NOT want to talk about yer M/C-git sumpin OTHER than a Valkyrie. Stopped at an O'reillys to get an oil filter and a guy wuz waitin in his pick up for me to come out and ask about the Phatt Ghurl!  Roll Eyes This FAMILY of Ours is with out a doubt some of the best people I've met and had the opportunity to not only ride with but to interact with.  cooldude My barrister friend from N Y-Oss-and my truck driver friend from N D-Mel-make it possible for this guy to at least taste some of THAT Pie!  2funny Others have graciously shared Pie also but Evan and Mel generally have extra!  coolsmiley I also know if It's your bike that is broke at an Inzane do NOT expect to do your own work-many folks will not let you do your work cause they already whipped it for ya. Seen THAT more than once.  Grin I know that after Eureka Springs folks ask my brother-WHERE is the Old Style??  Lips Sealed RIDE SAFE.

I learned that I really want some pie Wink

Before I got my Valk I lurked on this forum for over a year, and I learned a lot about Valks, Dragons, and Phat Gurls...Haven't been to an Inzane yet, but it's on a must see and do list.  The local events I have been to with the Colorado Riders have been great, and they welcomed my family and I with open arms!

I and my wife were also welcomed with open arms from the SoCal chapter. Do make it a priority to do Inzane. Last year was my first and it was everything I hoped for.  Smiley

I learned that I like when someone is called out for hijacking a thread.

You are correct. Actually most of my friends that I ride with don't have my political views, religious views, or a Valkyrie.  cooldude

Sometimes I get inspired to post a new topic, and will spent the time to type it all up. I will then read through my (yet to be) post and decide for whatever reason don't want to post it.

I learned that not everything that comes across my mind needs to be said on the forum.

I learned that every time I am on the VRCC I find something I want to do, think I need to do, or wish I could do to my bike.

I also learned that no matter how bad of a mechanic I am, there is probably a post some where to help fix my latest screw up.  I really appreciate the wealth of knowledge on this forum.

I wish more would "work on that". It's frustrating when someone calls you a butt nugget one day then asks for advice the next.   ???

If it was me I apologize . But in fairness if I didn't communicate with everybody that called me a butt nugget I would only be able to talk to myself on here. (I hope it wasn't me though)  Smiley

I have learned to hit the "delete" button more often than the "post" button when wanting to call out a #^$%*(@*!+/ for a comment (or series thereof) that pierces my soul and turns the blade.
Not any more, nope. Lips Sealed  Just not worth it.  OOPS....Delete,  Delete, Delete, Delete. Grin

However, anything to do with the nuts and bolts of this model of motorcycle; it's a wealth  of knowledge that is greatly appreciated.

So we have the yin and yang as it is always in the cosmos...fair and balanced.
