Chime in here if there is interest in having work done. Who plans on attending and what your desire to have accomplished. Plenty of space and just North of McKinney. Barn doors open when the first bike gets here. Have some interest in replacing front forks seals. Lucky_1_Chris, you got your ears on?
Please let us know so we can plan accordingly.
Blessings,
Woody

I'd like some help wiring aux lights. I need to have my forks rebuild and new Progressive springs installed but that is a big project and I don't have the wear parts ordered yet.

Put me down for some heckling and supervising assuming I get my tire done before then. Hollyday's bike is ready though, so if needed I can ride it there.

Thus far we have mainly electrical interest from 2 or 3 eh hum (gentlemen).
1 oil change and I could use rear brake pads. All others are the garden variety hecklers, lay-abouts and ne'er-do-wells
The more the merrier

I've been delaying a response in hopes I'd have my tins back from the painter in time, but looks like that won't happen, so my better half has volunteered me for a full Saturday of activities that are important to her. Gotta earn my points when she gives me the opportunity. Definitely next time!

I am needing to stop a leak in my front forks, and after reading the board I am more confused than enlightened. Some folks say to use Seal Dr, and others contradict that saying Sealmate is the way to go. I'm not sure if I need to just replace the seals completely or if one of the products mentioned is adequate for now. I suppose I have lost maybe an ounce of fork oil at this point, and trying to determine if I am safe for Fredricksburg or not. Any insights?

I would like to get my front forks, seals, progressive springs, etc done. Does anyone have a parts list and where I might be able to get said parts in time for the wrench party. Maybe the rear shocks too if I can find the hammer to break the piggy bank.

Looks like a medium turnout with work enough to fill the AM. Are you all in for lunch here after completion of tasks and then ride? Miss Lana wants to make lunch for all.

Looks like RiderGroups and Timbo are both thinking about rebuilding front forks. Do we have enough time and tools to rebuild two bikes' forks if we both have the parts as listed by Houdini (and oil)?

That's a question for Lucky_1_Chris I'm not volunteering Chris, but he has more knowledge about this task than I certainly do. I could use fork seals as well but can hold off. I used a sealmate and it seemed to work for now. We are all spoiled by VP's previously wrench parties where all the usual greases, oils and related accessories are readily at hand. I don't have that good of inventory here but we can make things happen. Blessings, Woody

What time do we want to get started on Saturday? I am riding up from Roanoke so I just need to figure out what time to leave.
On a side note, I just found out yesterday that I have a partial tear of my ACL in my right knee. It happened about 1 1/2 weeks ago and is feeling better. I am good to ride and be there on Saturday but I may need to take a seat on the sidelines during the work on occasion to keep some weight off of it.

I'll bring the castellated socket and seal driver. We should be able to do three bikes if the jaw flapping is kept to a minimum. Not that jaw flapping ever gets out of hand. I suggest that Chris' talent and knowledge will be more effectively used if he supervises intead of actually doing the work. That way two, or even all three, fork rebuilds can be going on at the same time.

I had planned on being the VP of layabouts and hecklers But I've had other plans for this weekend come up, so I won't be able to make it. I was looking forward to wrenching on others machines as the new Valk doesn't require any wrenching. Oh well, see y'All in Fredericksburg or next weeks monthly meeting if we are having one.

My address has been delivered to all who asked. Anyone in need please PM me and I'll respond. Navigational landmarks, huumm let me see. Oh I know, once on 545 look for the Collin county landfill and the big feeder lot where they fatten up cattle, (you can't miss 'em cuz you'll smell 'em), you're almost to our place, appropriately named "The Servants Quarters". Coffee and donuts in the AM with BBQ Brauts and Chicken for lunch. Blessings, Woody

What a beautiful day for a wrench party, or just a ride. In attendance were, RidersGroups, Yoda Master, ValkPilot, Buzz Kill, Lucky_1_Chris (fork master), BnBTom, Chauffer, and Disco Dave. Electrical work and horn installation for Yoda, front forks and springs for RidersGroups, (Chris makes it look so easy), some brake bleeding and basic maintenance performed on others. A good amount of chair sitting and storyin' was done by the usual suspects. Even some gun shooting and firearm education for Miss Lana, who deserves a round of applause for the fine vittles she cooked up for lunch. We missed those who could not be in attendance and certainly talked bad about you because you weren't here. BnBTom was seen taking pictures that I can only assume will show up here. Thanks all and many Blessings, Woody
