Finally some decent riding weather! Absolutely perfect. Felt so good to be out on the bike again without baking in our gear. Bronxboy already posted some pics of the meetup at the Hess (thanks for that one of the sunlight in my hair, BTW) but here's a few more.

Boys out talking shop by the dumpster.

A whole array of bikes on display.

Met new riding buddies Rick & Paula from Weekiwachi, and Ed Wine from New Port Richey. I took a really nice pic of Rick & Paula standing by their bike, but for some reason it didn't save to my phone so my apologies for the backside pics (they are an attractive couple from the front, too).

As you can see, Rick & Paula have a Triumph Rocket (2300cc of awesomeness).

And Ed has a ... ahem ... well, Ed has a really badazz hoodie. (I promised I wouldn't tease him about the  bike. It's a really nice HD tho.)

Saw this rogue Valk out with a group of mixed bikes. Recruiting efforts failed as the Harleys in their group started up and drowned out my greeting.

I'm sharing this pic so Billyboy can see that yes, you are supposed to wear jeans under the chaps.

And I'm sharing this pic to assure TJ that no, the mouth never stops (and yet he still likes the intercom system).

Thanks for the pics Pennie.  It does add quite a bit to the story.  I washed the Valkyrie this morning, then the Prius and finally the Rocket III.  Took a 50 mile ride on the Rocket and had to wash the front again when I got home.  Yes the love bugs are still out up here.  See how much better your story came out than mine?  Smiley

Felt great to get out again, especially since I didn't sweat through my clothes in the first 15 min. of the ride. Was definitely cool this morning, almost was wishing I'd put my jacket liner in but once the bike got warmed up it was OK. I'm a little achy around the area where they intend to shoot me on the 14th, other than that I was OK for the ride. I stopped on the east side of Clermont at Cracker Barrel for a late breakfast/early lunch.

I got home about 2:00pm, the old bike ran good for me. After I got off the expressway and hit the first stoplight, I pulled my earplugs out. It sure sounds a lot more noisy after a couple hours with them in.

Glad to see you out and about again as well John. I took an early, short ride myself just to enjoy the first cool day this Fall. It was 53 when I pulled out of the driveway. What a refreshing change!  cooldude

Pretty cool old building in Oakland, west of Winter Garden. Always wanted a picture in front of it. Locals said it used to be a gas station, then a flower shop. Now a Realtor's office

Back side of Green Mountain..as it is. Second highest point in Florida by the way.

Tiny Post Office in Good Ol' Ferndale.

Just for comparison....  I went for a ride today and the temperature never got above 40.
The sun was shinning with a slight breeze and I only got 180 miles but it was a great day to ride in Wisconsin.
