I (somewhat) feel your pain Les, I broke a collar bone once doing my best Superman impression off of a dirt bike, luckily I didn't need to get screwed and it healed on it's own.

It gives me the willies when medical procedures begin to resemble wood shop projects... Yikes!

Les, I hope your surgeon had a nice face , talked softly, and had warm hands. No one likes getting screws from a brute. I googled the clavicle plate and grabbed an X-ray This looks painful . Is it similar to yours? That is a lot of screwing. And we thought OEM Honda screws were pricey.  That's pretty much what I got installed. It was a long diagonal break. Doc said that he put three screws on each side of the plate. So I GOT SCREWED 6 times! |

Thanks man! Letting heal on its own was an option, but my Doc said that in the long term I will recover more completely with the erector set pieces! It gives me the willies when medical procedures begin to resemble wood shop projects... Yikes!

Yeah, that's why I didn't search Google before the surgery. Wood shop projects? I thought it looks more erector set. But the screws Marcus's image look like wood screws. |
