Greetings!

Hope everyone is enjoying the holidays.

I am very interested in purchasing a Ultimate King Big Boy 4 piece set up for my 2003 Std.

It looks great in pictures, and it gets more good reviews than bad here.

I am hoping someone has one on their bike I could look at and sit on.

I live out in Weatherford, but in the metro plex quiet often.

Any comments on the ultimate seat is appreciated.

Thanks!

The Ultimate seat, the worst, most uncomfortable MC seat I ever sat on.  I took it off, sold it, and went back to stock with an Airhawk pad.

On Valk #2 I have a Russell Daylong, the most comfortable aftermarket MC seat I ever sat on.

My .02ยข, take a serious look at the Russell Daylong, Google the Russell and see what everyone is saying about it.

I live in the FAR north east of the Metromess in Allen, if you make it up this far you can take it for a spin.

You are on the right track.  Try before you buy.  It was an expensive mistake when I got the low rider instead of the big boy.

Choice of seat is a very personal thing.  Lots of people love their Ultimates, but it didn't work for Houdini.  Lots of people hate the stock seat (especially '97-'99), but I have about 85K miles on my stock '00.  It still looks good, but the foam is about shot, so I'm going to have to do something before the next long ride.  Some people love the hardness of Corbins.  Others hate the hardness of Corbins.  And so on and so on...

It's easy to understand why people rave about the Russell.  They are custom-made to your measurements.

Also check out the Diamond/Hartco.  Loved mine on my Valk.  Just bought a second one for my Wing.

BigTex, I have an Ultimate King Boy on my 99 Interstate Super Valk. I live on the west side of Fort Worth in the Westpoint/Chapel Creek area. I will let you test ride my King Boy seat as soon as we get a nice day to ride. Let me know when you are available so that we can make the test ride happen.    cooldude

BigTex, I have a (I think) Russel Long currently being housed at "chauffer" s house not to far from you.  Check with him (Dave) and you have permission to try it out if you'd like.

Blessings,

I am getting some good feed back here,,, thanks.

I did talk to ultimate, and the King Big Boys they are making now are 20% firmer than the original design.

I will probably wait till it gets a little warmer, so I can get it on and put some miles on it the first 15 days. (trial period)

If you have installed one, is it easy? any modifications?

Unless you have to wire up the blinker buddy option, it's simply remove and replace.

I may be biased since I've never had a Mustang on the Std. Valk.  I have used the OEM and currently have a full Ultimate BB setup with passenger arm rests and all.  I really like it.  Have gone through many-a-state with it on there and with the right highway peg setup, I'm a big fan.

My girl likes to ride okay, but not for really long distance.  Though with the comfy seat and arm rests, I don't hear near as much about it after a full day out.

Good luck!
