OKay, so why is the price of gas going down? Does it make sense? I'm not complaining but what is the real reason? We still use as much as ever, so is the supply that much higher? I think I read somewhere that OPEC was not going to decrease output even though there is more producers in the mix. Are they trying to bring the price so low that it won't be profitable for hydrofracking to stay a viable way to extract the oil from the ground? And when that happens will they then jack up the price again? Just wondering.
I thought this covered in the early responses. Maybe not, maybe it was a different thread. The mid-east dickheads don't like the fact that we are again becoming a leading crude producer. We were once the biggest producer in the world. The dickheads can put it in a barrel for about $11. We can't do that. So they think it'll slow our drilling down and we'll again become reliant on them. Then they would rise their price again. I'm glad to see us keep drilling. I wish we would drill more and our poor excuse for a president would open up public land for it. Our drilling is on private lands predominately. With all the natural gas this country has, we could easily become completely independent from the dickheads. Then they could go back to herding camels and living in tents. One of the problems is that when you have knuckleheads in politics like we have in New York the drilling for gas has been banned for the last 3 years. I think natural gas is the salvation of this country. It burns cleaner than anything we have and we have plenty of it. Construction and trucking companies that have converted their equipment and trucks to using it have found it profitable. Opposite as some would have you believe, fracking is safe. As safe as any drilling can be. If we would drill more for crude and gas as well as add a couple more refineries we could be the next saudi arabia, as well as put a heck of a lot people to work.

Friend of mine used to believe that too, drove an F-250 Dually... I seriously doubt your friend drove a F 250 Dually. You're right, I just remembered it was huge... I asked him, it was a 2004 F250 diesel, not a dually. Extended cab or something, it had a back seat. But yeah, not a dually...

Was a bit shocked this morning when I went uptown to fuel the diesel beast......$2.99 for diesel and down to $1.85 for gas. Not that I'm complaining about current diesel/gas prices since it wasn't that long ago diesel was well over $4.50 around here and gas was pushing $3.70.
Nothing stimulates economy more than saving some c
ash at the pump......to bad food prices keep going up even though other things are dropping.
And am sure Obummer will take the credit for cheaper gas stimulating the GREAT (yah right) economy. Seems like everything but gas keeps going up which it should, but to a much more modest degree than it has the past several years. there have been plenty of folks giving him kudos for lowered gas prices, until I point out that he must have been responsible for the high gas prices in the first place.

It is possible to have a F250 dually. Ford didn't make them but it's a fairly easy conversion.

Get ready folks, 5 states have implemented tax increases to take effect now. The feds are also looking to increase their tax an additional $.12/gal. [ its now $.18.4/gal] Does anyone really think these increases will go towards infrastructure ? Wanna see what you were paying last week ? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuel_taxes_in_the_United_States

i just bought a new f-150 xlt,, everything on that truck is controlled by computers,,there is no power steering pump anymore hooked to the engine, its built into the rack and pinon and yep you guessed it, controlled by a computer, i cant wait till that breaks,,the power brakes are no longer controlled by vacuum,, you can shut the engine off going down the road and still have power brakes and power steering,,if a tail light burnes out you have 3 starts of the engine to get it fixed or else call a tow truck,,this stuff goes on and on,,,
Sounds like you're sorry you bought it. You say "new". What year? 2014? 2015? o i love my truck so far,, its a 2014,, the 15's are made out of aluminum and i aint so sure i like that yet...

Please enlighten me as to why anyone would do something like that. Edited: Never mind, it's a silly point anyway.

This coming from someone on a forum where we ride 6 cylinder 1.5 liter (or bigger!) 8 foot long motorcycles with 6 carburetors? Just saying... (Written with a smile, not a snark...)
