Talked to two different Honda dealer salesman in two dealerships and they both told me they haven't sold a single one yet.  discounted to 15,999 at one and I believe 15,500 at the other. I know its a great bike but they aren't moving.

Are you talking about a Goldwing or a Valkyrie, they're not the same thing.

Either way I've seen both on the road, but far more 'Wings than Valks.

Hmmm.  Actually, he is correct.  Honda advertises the new 1800 Valkyrie as "Goldwing Valkyrie"  Smiley

http://powersports.honda.com/2015/gold-wing-valkyrie.aspx

And no.  Not a lot of them out there but as accessories become more available (i.e. Corbin saddlebags), they might start selling better.  cooldude

BTW, just received Email from Maxim Honda which included a $2000 price reduction on the new Valk.  Shocked

I stand corrected, actually I sit drinking coffee corrected.

If I was shopping I'd be looking at the F6B, or the 'Wing if I wanted more goodies.  I would definitely take the CTX for a spin, there's something about that bike that draws me in.

I  have grown to like the new Valkyries styling even though I thought I never would. I just don't think I could ride long distance on it without it killing me. Im way too tall for it I think. So a new F6b will be in the future if I change bikes. The CTX is a very cool bike in person and fairly comfortable I would definitely consider that one but the flat six of the f6b is just the best in my opinion.

I have a new Valkyrie. I'm 5-11... I think only a giant or someone with freakishly long arms
would be comfortable on a new Valkyrie.

I love my new Valkyrie, I have 13K miles on it. The only thing I would like to have is an Ultimate Seat with a driver back rest.

Also Al Lamb Honda sold 2 the day I bought mine.

I think the damn thing is UGLY, it has no "class".  I'll take my big black 2000 CT any day.  The new one looks like something a "Frenchman" would ride.....

Whether one likes or dislikes the styling of the new Goldwing Valkyrie has been discussed ad nauseam on the General Board AND there has been a request from Staff to keep the VRCC a welcoming place for owners of both the first and second series Valkyries.

Saying you prefer the first series isn't offensive, but isn't calling a fellow rider's bike ugly kinda like saying, "Geez, your wife/girlfriend sure is homely, but I bet she's fun to ride."?

I agree - different strokes.  While the "new" Valkyrie looks haven't caught my eye, if someone else likes it, there's no reason to disparage their preference.

Besides, who doesn't accessorize their bike/wife/girlfriend to make them more fun to ride?   cooldude Evil coolsmiley

Sorry Brew1Brew, I meant no disrespect and you're right "Opinions are like....."

Me, I'm just an "Old Fart" who really likes things the way they used to be. I prefer "classic" bikes, "classic" cars, "classic" movies, "classic" airplanes (I flew an old double-decker duster for 47 years), and "classic" women. I think I must be a purist at heart.

It's just going to take me a few years to get used to all the new "stylized" looks on motor-bikes in the show-rooms nowdays.

Brew1Brew, I'm hoping you heal up soon so you can get back on and ride that Ah... "Visionary Valkyrie" of yours again.

Thanks Cduster,  I appreciate your kind words, and humility.  As to style, I loved my old phat girl's chrome and classic look, but the new Valk stole my heart with the new technology and massive power. The style has grown on me as well though.

If you really don't like the way the Goldwing Valkyrie looks, challenge one to a race.  They'll pull away from you and be outta sight in no time.
