For those of you who have named your Valks, my 11 year old started calling mine "Val" 3 or 4 years ago.  She would tell me "you are going out to ride your girlfriend Val aren't you".  Yes honey I am, yes I am...

Glad it worked out for you and hope you don't regret it.

We don't really own these bikes, they own us and we are just the keepers at present.

Think about it.  These bikes are very well made and will probably out live us.

Right now I'm playing with Goldwings that are almost 40 year old.

From my perspective, having a Valkyrie and not riding it is just denying someone else the joy of a wonderful motorcycle, a piece of art.    If the fat lady isn't what turns your crank, let her go to someone else who will love, ride and take care of her the way she deserves to be.

It's kind of like keeping the ex-wife around while you enjoy the new one.    Just shouldn't be done.   I can't say I'll never sell my Valkyrie but, she's everything plus some in what I wanted and needed.

Yeah, it's a love affair.

There you go.  I am giving joy to someone who will appreciate it.  He will ride it much more than I have.

BTW, you can have my ex-wife too!
