Hello Gang ,
 Those that are not aware I just bought a Valk tourer and the exhaust had some work done to it.

I took off the Exhaust Tips, and found 3 of the Baffles Drilled and Piggies Cut.

I have kicked around the idea of changing it . I had wished for some audio sound files etc.

Several had posted Links to Ragner cuts etc and then I came upon  Mark T's Site and listened to some of his exhaust files.

I also  managed to take a long ride at night , and relized my Exhaust is louder then I thought, now that I was cruising through neighborhoods and so forth before heading out for  a nice cool ride around the White Tank Mountains Saturday Night.

I think for now I will stick with what I have, but really like the glass pack idea. Have not ruled this out just yet.

The part I like is when I go one long stretches of highway the noise really quiets down at least for me the rider.

Thanks to all that posted their help in another post someone made about ragner cut in tech board.
This allowed me to find out what stage was done to my bike.

if you think its loud no, wait until you hear the glass packs,,what i did was cut the end baffle off of the stock exhaust and slid it into the rear of the truck stacks with the baffles in them,,,that made it as quiet as stock,,,when i felt frisky i took out the baffles,,,

I was in the same config as Jess when I got 'er, but then had a wild thought...
While the wheel was off for goin' darkside, I just "forgot" to put the glass packs bak on.  Now, with just the baffles, it's really nice, from the front seat, anyway!  My wife says it's too much on the passenger...
When I go to an event and want to be heard, the baffles come out, and it takes center stage.  Of course, that is essentially open pipes Evil  On the open road, even that is not too bad for the pilot's seat!
However, just idling through a parking lot will set off alarms...which is fun!
I'll try to make a sound file for each config.

I did the Glasspack modifications. Cut the header pipe at the collector with about a half inch of straight left on and welded a Stainless bell reducer to that and a 1-1/2 pipe nipple to the end of the reducer so I could weld on a pipe end to the Glasspack and screw it into the Reducer coupling end. I think it is a 16" Glasspack It has been a few years. But on a ride with the Midwest Valkyrie riders (A Taz production) in Baraboo one of the glaspacks unscrewed itself and fell out? I was able to find it and it was unharmed but flaming hot!!!! I rode back to the hotel with it off and actually home the next day with it off since I didn't want to take off the truck stacks, and it sounded like a motor with out an exhaust on it.  Hey that is exactly what it was and it sounded like S H I T let me tell ya and I like loud exhaust, but this was not pleasing at all so that cured me of the leave the exhaust off. But to each there own. Have not had any more problems with it in the last three years just tightened it up better. And added anti seize to the thread ends.
