The enteric is 30 cents more expensive than baby aspirin, splurge.  Though that may not be the issue at all.  I hate waiting for biopsy, lab results.  Sort of like the roulette wheel of life.

I got food poisoned a number of times in the middle east.  Different food, but just different bugs/germs too.  Not your ordinary food poising; the kind after a few days you pray for death.  Quickest weight loss program ever.   crazy2

I hope you get fixed up OK.

Have done the food poisoning thing as well. Twice in Brazil & a couple of times in Singapore & Honduras.

I'll be fine. Already the gut feels better after being off the aspirin for 5 days.

I got the $1000 exam today, colonoscopy , chest X-ray and a sonogram of all my internals. Colonoscopy was clean, will know in a few days on the others.

 cooldude

Waiting on the results of the 3 polyps that were excised. 1 was 1mm, the other two were 6mm. Had to stop the baby aspirin therapy I've been on since the heart surgery. The GI doc thinks that the aspirin could be the culprit causing the gastritis. Anyway, after almost 3 days of no solid food, the quesadilla & enchiladas were damn good tonight.  Cheesy

3 days of no solid food ?!    Wow.  Haven't had to do that.
As usual I'm told no work the rest of the day, no driving or machinery operation and no alcohol or spicy food.
Its a small town , they know me. Saw the doctor at diner and had a few drinks together.  That was after playing golf and mowing the lawn.

Started fasting, only liquids, Sunday night. Procedure Tuesday and since they excised the 3 polyps, no solid food that day either. So yeah, 3 days. Only creamy soup, jello, etc. after the procedure. But don't worry. I made up for it last night!

I'm not doubting that at all, just surprised, thats all.
I just had to fast for the 3 times 12 hours before and start drinking that crap then and again 4 hours before the procedure. They took out 3 polyps and put a clip on one.  When out after and had a few drinks and lasagna.
When I went in for the procedure they asked what color the discharge was, I didn't know as I don't look. They said go try again and just hold the trap door shut, I just said it looked liked a margarita, they laughed and said thats good and filled me with their juice.

So, the results are in. Three polyps removed, 2 pre-cancerous. GI doc says another colonoscopy in 3 years. Glad I got it done for sure.
