We'll Be Seeing You in Maggie but ...

Hi, all. We were thrilled when we saw that there was such a large group of the best people in the state of FL meeting in Maggie this year.  And we had hoped, like last year, to host a lunch event at our house in NC.  But I've got some good news and some bad news.  The good news is that we'll see you all in Maggie.    The bad news--as far as being able to see all our VRCC friends for rides on a regular basis--is that we're moving to NC on a permanent basis the second week in May.       But that's still good news!! Because that also means that when any of you visit in the area, we can still ride together!    And keep in touch, of course, on the board.





Now about that barbecue lunch for those of you attending the Maggie event ...  Like I mentioned, we had hoped to host a lunch/ride. We would still like to do that but it appears we will have to do it on Sunday, even tho everyone has not yet arrived.  Todd's new job is Mon-Thurs so that leaves out those days, and it appears most of you are leaving Friday. We'll post more to the board as we get closer but like last year, we can ride to Hot Springs and back, and then you can get pulled around on a trailer hitched to a tractor as we make fun of those who have to walk up the driveway (this year it will be Jack huffing up the slope)  At any rate, we'll still ride or drive over in the evenings to see y'all in Maggie during the event.





So hope to see you all soon before we get too busy packing and moving.  We're supposed to have a cold front for this weekend.  Who's game for a ride on Saturday?

Sure will be good to know someone that actually lives in one of our favorite places in all the U.S.  We have been going to Maggie Valley for about 10 years.  We were trying to keep it a secret.    We don't know when we will be able to go this year but will most likely be in an RV park.
Congrats Todd on the new job.  Must be nice to get paid to live there.

We're sorry to be leaving you folks, too.  Other than the really nice winters, you guys have been the best part about Florida. Riding with you on weekends, kicking tires and mostly laughing together has been the big highlight of our social lives. (Really it's our only highlight.) We hope that you'll let us know whenever you're in the area so we can meet up for a ride or meal.  But we'll still be in touch on the board (and post some undoctored pics for Pappy) cause in case you haven't noticed...no VRCC chapter in NC.  We'll change that if we get enough of you to move with us!  Or at least spend summers there.

I always had plans to live in the mountains, Tennessee most likely. I had some beautiful land just west of Knoxville. Sometimes life gets in the way of those plans  . Look forward to seeing you guys in June.
