I am smelling burned rubber when making right hand turns only. I went dark side two years ago, removed the nut cage and used carriage bolts. Running Goodyear Triple Tread at 40psi. First year was no problem, started to detect an occasional odor late last year. At that same time I noticed my rear shocks were leaking oil, figured this was the cause of the tire rub/burning odor.

Replaced the shocks last weekend with Progressive shocks. Shake down ride today resulted in the same issue. I'll hear a faint grind or rub sound and then the smell of burnt rubber. The tire shows no sign of abrasion anywhere. I'm at a loss. Wondering if this may be bearing issue?

Any ideas?

Could it be coming from the front ? See if the rubber under the front fender has came unglued... It should be making a " mark / rub " on the tire somewhere .
