I'm a huge comic book geek.  I like comics.  Sometime ago I decided that I wanted to read a few stories that nobody seemed to be writing, so I jotted one down.  I had words on paper. They might or might not be any count, but they are definitely just words on paper and seems to be missing a major component toward becoming a comic book.

I asked several people if they could draw a monkey on a motorcycle that didn't look cartoony until I finally found someone.

Then I waited.  I was about to get discouraged that he was not drawing anything (but this is a side project without any $ so I didn't want to rush it).  A week ago he showed me his first biker monkey.  It was good, but I made a few notes.  I told him that I liked the first, but I would like to see him try a few changes.  Last night he had several more options for me to chose from. Turns out, he's starting to have fun with it.  He has a great talent.  I knew he could draw. But who knew he could draw a gorilla that had long enough legs to ride a motorcycle.

Last week when he asked what the motorcycle should look like, I said, "Mine of course."  I can't wait to see what the bike looks like.

I also can't wait until he has the other character sketches done.  This project will probably take a little while still, but I'm excited about it.

Last night I got to see a really nice biker monkey.  How often do you get to say that?

Saw one pull over a year ago in Knoxville and I whipped the cage around to go meet the rider and his ape forget what kind. Was as natural loking as could be riding on the pillion. Wish I ad my camera. Share some pics as you get them.  cooldude

hmmmm.
Interesting visual Misunderstood.

I'm not sure how natural that monkey looks on that pillion that you've included. But, if it makes the biker happy...and he is smiling...who am I to judge?

Cool story. Thanks for tellin' me.

My artist friend is still working on perfecting the character sketches. I finally dropped off the script to the graphic/comic project that we're working on. He's currently drawing a piece for someone else, but mine is up next.

What is really cool is that he sounds excited about getting to draw what I've written. So at least two people will like it.

Now, to research where to pursue publishing. I've got a few things planned. We'll have to see which one works out.

I'd love to be a comic book character myself...maybe one day.
