I have a new Android phone. (compared to iOS,  Android kinda sucks.)  What are your recommendations for the best navigation app for android?  It must send voice directions to my helmet bluetooth device so i'd be primarily interested in hearing about those you know can do that. Tested a couple but no Bluetooth capability. Helmet device is just one of the cheap imports but it works fine with phone calls, music etc.

With my android phone, as long as I'm connected to my helmet interphone via Bluetooth all sound from the phone (mp3, navigation, telephone calls, everything) is routed to my helmet speakers through the device.  That said, Waze is good navigation with data connection, Sygic is good for offline navigation as the maps are saved to the phone.

Google Maps works fine on my Nexus 5 (KitKat 5.0) with Scala G9x. I get turn-by-turn directions through the earphones.

Thanks, I tried google maps and on-the-road and one other and none worked.  Might be my phone which is a Huawei accend mate 2.  Affordable and BIG so I can see it when mounted to the bars but kind of off brand.

osmand... uses Open Street Map data, which you download, and
it works offline. Voice. Custom routing.
