Lookin' super! Mind if I ask what tail bag that is? I'm heading to Florida for Memorial Day and was looking for alternative to duffel bag and bungee cords. I'll have plenty of worthy pics in a couple weeks

Why is this in the Tech Section?
They loosened up the rules here from the first, there wasn't much activity. Now, some mornings, there's more 1800 posts than 1500 posts... I'm just glad we're finally building up some riders and posters -Mike

Sorry guys. I didn't see much activity for the 1832cc elsewhere. Feel free to move, no big deal.

Well st2sam I don't even have an 1800.....yet but like the way you made it work and it fantastic for a solo rider. I hope in time it catches on and accessories will be abundant. It is amazing what Hubcapsc and others have come up with.

I may get flamed since this isn't a Valkyrie, but here's my F6B on the Grand Mesa... Let em' flame away Dave, that's a good looking bike! I have been on the F6B forum and seems the majority of them were/are members here. This bickering about the GL1800 F6B bagger vs a GL1800 Valkyrie non bagger is Silly imo. Both are great bikes and I hope to buy one soon.....maybe

didnt take many pictures just afew of friends and the dragon at the tail...... riding it was GREAT, even fully loaded for cross country, the val with its low center of gravity and the alum. frame took the corners with ease. The whole trip was great. No problem with the bike, the seat, the handle bars all worked and felt fine. I REALISE WE DID NOT PUSH IT. Only rode about 150 miles a day but we were in NO hurry so that was very comfortable. I will get my daughter to show me again how to post pics. soon got riding to do

Why is this in the Tech Section?
We loosened the tech only rules for this board because we wanted to provide a friendly, supportive environment for owners of the 1800. Unfortunately, our general board was not providing that.

f6gal, I have to agree 100%. I started this post here for the reason you stated. I could not find any posts for the 1800, zero... When I joined this board I thought this was the only place for 1800 discussions?

When I joined this board I thought this was the only place for 1800 discussions? Well, historically, the 1500 tech board was strictly tech. We would have preferred to keep that format for the 1800. Unfortunately, a handful of 1520 Valkyrie owners that don't care for the looks of the 1800, felt the need to (not so nicely) voice that opinion every time someone posted about their 1800. We wanted to welcome 1800 riders, rather than chase them off, so this was a more supportive alternative.

I rode out past my backyard to "The Three Sisters", three curvy roads at the foot of the mountains where you bounce back and forth between Hwy. 76 and The Cleveland Pike Road. Then I rode to the top of the hill and got an ice cream cone... -Mike

Here is a pic of my new 2014 Valk when I took a trip up to Fall Creek Falls, State Park in TN. Great place to visit with some great roads all around it.

This bike is amazing. If I'm not riding it, I'm thinking about riding. 1200 local miles in 5 weeks with sketchy Indiana weather. Honda Civic in bkgrnd for scale (it's only a 1700... poor thing)

the son inherited the '06 VTX 1300C. He wants to black it all out, despite my years of bolting shinyness to it in the most expensive way imaginable. I guess I can't blame him... noting the black mirrors I recently added to the Valk. Love.this.bike...

Got them at my local Honda dealer. Bikemaster brand. They're almost identical to the stock mirrors, just a little bit smaller.

Getting ready for Sturgis. Sold an 84 Goldwing Standard to purchase this. To say I was surprised at what newer technology can do for a motorcycle is understatement. My youngest daughter rides a sportster. This is in Wyoming. North of Sturgis on our way to Devils Tower

Great pictures... I also made my own bracket to mount the viking hard trunk behind me, I ride solo on longer trips so between the bags and the trunk, with just a small hotel bag inside, I have plenty of room, and never have to bungy,or unbungy anything. had a great weekend at the Dragon ride in Madison Indiana. looking forward to many more trips to come next year...ride on life is good
