I think he was responding to Stanley. I always take it that if it isn't a response to a quote it is directed to the original poster. Unless it is called out by name of course.
Maybe?????

Excellent point Jeff!!  Even though yours might have been a rhetorical question, it is important that we clearly understand the protocol for these responses...after all we MUST know who is getting poked in the eye (mental image of Moe & Larry of the 3 stooges)!   Cheesy Grin

Just kidding (however I suspect my schizophrenic counterpart might be trying to stir the pot).....

the only difference is that unlike some of these other guys, I really don't care WHO agrees with me or not....I understand where 2tone and Detn8er are both coming from.....and I could care less if it's been brought up once, never, or 1000 other times...if I feel like posting something I do.....and I promise I won't cry about anyone else posting whatever they like....anyone can call me anything they want, as long as it isn't "late for dinner"..... cooldude..... I feel the same, it is great to read and/or participate in a little good natured banter. I really don't think when I post I will change anyone's mind. It is just interesting to see how others feel about a subject. It doesn't matter what they say or feel about my ideas either...opinions are like as----e's everyone has one.

Really enjoy reading some of the thoughts and ideas on here. There are some very interesting points of veiws here.

Just to clear it up, I wasn't referring to Stanley, I was referring (sarcastically) to Reagan as "One of the great thinkers of our time"

If you click the link with my post it shows ads Reagan did for Chesterfields where he's gonna send cartons to all his friends at xmas...

Sorry to say this but RR was seriously not in touch with reality.

If you substitute the words "Public Education" for "Socialized Medicine" and "Teachers" for "Doctors". Then try to listen with an open mind. You will be shocked.

Ronny was Senator Joe's right-hand-man in Hollywood in black-listing his fellow actors during the communist witch hunts.
He was a little bit on the paranoid side regarding liberal thinking.

Thanks Stanley for posting that.  I loved and still love Reagan.  I was a Marine under him in the 80's.  He loved us and we loved him.

Oh and Scanner ... [removed ]

Oh and Scanner ... bite me.  Ive little use for idiots.

Come on Sludge, whereas you and I agree politically where Scanner and I don't agree; I can't remember Scanner resort to name calling when expressing his thoughts.  Name calling does not reflect well on us conservatives!

I apologise.  A really good friend of mine is near death.  He has been a role model to me all of my life.  Served our country well in WW2 as a forward observer in Europe and went through the whole thing from the beaches of Normandy, through the Battle of the Bulge and on to Berlin.  It has hit me hard and to tell the truth, I have been on the edge of tears all day.  He is on the short list of the best human beings I have ever met.  Honest, trustworthy, knowledgeable, humble ... and loyal.  I hit a low point. I was depressed and a bit drunk and I lashed out.  Scanner was the easiest target.  Sorry Scanner.   My skin is pretty thin right now.
