OK, so it's been a few days since I installed my new Clearview and I have to say it far exceeds the OEM shield by far.

For those who already have the Clearview, well you already know but if anyone is thinking of a new shield then this is without a doubt the best I've ever ridden behind.

The new shield I ordered from Clearview is the 19" version and the stock width and no vent.

I'm 5'10 and have the Ultimate Low Boy seat and can see very clearly over the top of the shield, with room to spare.

Around town it's great, excellent visibility and on the highway it's incredible. The Clearview doesn't budge, vibrate, shake or wiggle around like the OEM and there is still a good pocket at the 19" height to sit behind.

The full 3/16" thickness is very sturdy and it actually feels as though it really plants the front end at (high) highway speeds. Changing lanes, riding along side tractor trailers and busses it was great.

Hopefully this will help anyone looking to change, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Mike

I will never deal with Clear View shield again. Not very happy with clearview at all. There customer service SUCKS. First it took them 6 weeks to build the wrong shield and they did not offer much to make it right. They told how they were checking this shield on every phase that it went thru for quality control but they never checked the order once for height. So when they finished they sent me the wrong shield I will never do business with them again. I will pay more and get a good C baileys

I have a stock height CV and love it. Mine's smoke with the vent. Love both out here in SUNNY AZ where todays temp will be ONLY 104. Sorry MR. Rat, I hope your experience was rare rather than the norm.

I purchased a CV shield last fall.

I got exactly what I ordered delivered when promised with great customer service.

The product is excellent and I am very happy with it.

Love my clearview, except seems like I get more reflection off the gas cap. May need to get a cover for the cap. Anyone else have this problem, what did you do.

My first ride in daylight, the reflection of the cap and surround made it nearly impossible to see the road ahead. I masked mine, and applied a coating of black Plasti-Dip to the flat top of the cap surround and cap. Works well, and has been on for 3 tank fills, so far. If it peels, I'll just redo it.

I have had a couple of Clearview shields in the past and have no problem with the company or their product, but my last one came for Cee Bailey and I'm more than totally satisfied with it.  I ordered it for my '97 standard and have only put about 7K miles on it in the last two years.  It is more like the OEM windshield, clear as can be, and performs well for me.  My I/S gets the nod for most of the highway miles because of the extra load carrying capacity, but the standard handles better and gets the nod for shorter trips.  Just got back from a 500 mile round trip on the standard yesterday at noon...Jim Smiley

I bought the wider and taller CV windshield with the vent.   Love the shield.  I have not been able to tell much of a difference with the vent however.  Maybe cause I am riding with a full face helmet and jacket anyway I cannot feel extra breeze. Clarity however is awesome!

Bought a Clearview for my Tourer. I went with grey tint, vent and 2 inches shorter.
I had a 85 Aspencade and the vent helped stir up the air pocket between the shield and rider.
Even hot air is more comfortable when moving. I like the vent.

The shorter shield erases my music clarity from about 45 mph and faster. I haven't traveled with
it yet but the rain hits me right at eye level. These were all my choices I still really like the
shield like mentioned the clarity is real good.
