Last night was Hop Fusion Imperial Stout at 8.6% ABV.  Yummo!  Had four.  Should have stopped at 3.

Tonight, I finished off the last of the always dependable Absolut in a big glass of OJ.  If I go for a second round, it will be with a new-to-me local vodka, Western Son, distilled about 10 miles north of me in the thriving metropolis of Pilot Point.

For those coming to Taos, I'm bringing the following to enjoy and share with my friends:

Highland Park Valkyrie Single Malt Scotch
Herman Marshall Saint Arnold Divine Reserve No 16 (Texas made whiskey made from craft beer)
Balcones Brimstone (Texas made blue corn whiskey, smoked with Texas Scrub Oak instead of peat)
Ranger Creek Rimfire (Texas made single malt whisky, smoked with Texas Mesquite instead of peat)

If you'd like to try any of these, find me and I'll be happy to share, don't make me bring it all home again like I had to to last year!

Last night I had some of my own brew. Vanilla porter with a tinge of bourbon. I been brewing for years and love to experiment.

Definitely not on your own! Eating dinner now, haven't decided what tonight's libations will be, but it'll likely be one from my current opened bottles, I really need to finish some of these off before opening any more.....

I'm leaning towards the Edradour 10, or if I decided to have a cigar outside might go with the Port Charlotte Heavily Peated 10 instead.....

Just finished this one off........

Guess I'll have to make a run to the liquor store tomorrow.

It's a good thing that our Governor determined ABC stores to be essential.

I plan to make the trip on my Valk (now it's motorcycle related).

I'm pretty simple.

Bourbon and Beer are my usual fair.

The JB single barrel is a pretty good bourbon.

Last night's libations..... Very nice, but I haven't found a Kilchoman yet I don't like... Just the tiniest hint of smoke, but lots of sweet candy like notes all over the place...

VERY different from last weekend's tipple.... While I LOVE it the new Ardbeg Wee Beastie 5 year old is NOT for the faint of heart! To me it is smokier even than the Octomore!

Properly chilled direct from the thermal conditioning unit.

Sh!t, being on antibiotics such. You always want what you can't or shouldn't have.  Cry

I've also only had 2 soft drinks in the last 3 weeks (usually I have a min 1/day).

homemade cherry slush.

my mom use to have a simple recipe somewhere for brandy slushes,  very yummy is a good hot summer drink enough booze in them to get drunk if having a few in a row same day.

even as a young kid age 10 or so I would drink them in the hot summer.

my kid who started at Aldi's a few months ago got my wife hooked on their cheap wine anywhere from 3 to 10 bucks per wine bottle.  She found some peach stuff I would even drink as well as my kid likes the pineapple variety most in that 10% proof range or so.  Nothing like you alls rum, bourbon, scotch, whiskey much more potent stuff

I make KOOL-AID slushes for Grandkids, they love them.
We bought a counter top ice maker, the ice is bullet shaped, one day I poured kool-aid in and they came out bullet shaped but also mushy. When Grandkids are here I make grape, cherry and orange slushes.
Have also made snow cones out of them.
I like them to.
