I like the thought, but basically you'd have to own something that was worth less than $200 and still qualify (a servicable revolver or pistol, .38 or better) to make it worth your while.  I have an old 4" heavy barrel Model 10 .38 police fixed sight revolver (perfect except for worn bluing), but it's worth more than $200 to me. 

If someone had a new Sig in mind, and could buy an old pistol that qualified for $150 (good luck) it might work out, but I am thinking they are talking $200 off MSRP, and all the good sellers are under that.
