I did the coast ride with the Chaparral riders. I wish some of you could have joined us. The weather was perfect and the traffic was light. John G joined us so we had 9 bikes total. 3 of the bikes were women riders and I must say they can really handle them selves and had no problem keeping up with the group. On Sunday John had to head on back and I rode with the group to Alice's restaurant. I left the group there and rode up to Santa Rosa to spend some time with my cousin and see my aunt. It was fleet week at the SF bay so the traffic was a little heavy going over the GG bridge. As I was going across slowly the Blue Angels flew over in formation for the air show. That was really a site to see and I wish I could have taken a picture of them. I came home on Wednesday and I'm glad I did as I missed all the mud slides on Thursday. My butt was a bit sore after the 500 mile ride home but the bike ran great. I did notice a handling problem when I was going over some bumps on the 5 fwy. I decided to buy some new rear shocks as mine are a little old. I got a good deal for some Progressive 412 shocks at Chaparral so I put them on today. I won't get a chance to test them until Tuesday though.
While I was at my cousins I got a call from a fellow I must have met some years ago. He thought he was calling some one else but we had a nice talk about Valks. He said that his ECM went out and he couldn't buy another one at the dealer. They have been discontinued and are no longer available. He said he did find one at a recycle salvage yard. So knowing this I of course panicked and went on ebay and bought a low millage one. My cabinet is getting pretty full of spare parts I'll probably never use but now I due have some peace of mind I suppose.

Hope to see a lot of you in November so make you plans and come on out.

Sounds like a great ride Dave  cooldude We happened to be in S.F. A few years back during FleetWeek also. Those Air Races they put on are pretty cool. I'm glad you missed the mud. Some of that looks pretty bad.

Sounds like it was a great ride,  sorry I missed it, but for a good reason. I installed a CB radio, as you know.

Did you stop at about every 100 miles, and take a break.  Should have been easier to do that 500 miles home.

Well, glad you made it home safe Dave.

See ya in November.
