Not wanting to use a screw driver on the boot I thought of using these bicycle tire spoons.  It's not a cure all but it got the job done in ten minuets and no holes in the boot......  Maybe just dumb luck?

I knew exactly what Saddlesore was talking about, there is only one PITA Boot on our Ladies.  But you have to experience the removal and reassembly of that boot to know that.  I may have those bicycle tools somewhere in my workshop...

  Years ago when disc brakes first came out on cars , there was a boot expander used to install without tearing. Any old mechanics have one to try. When I get done with my two cents worth (before taxes) I will look and see if flea bay or amazon has one.
 I just went on E-bay. The tool is Herbrand 608 disc brake boot expander pliers. $22.00
