At approximately the 32 second mark, almost had a bird strike like ol' John Travolta did.

As a side note, the key streamer reads "remove before flight".

Back in August while riding near Lynchburg, TN  I hit a vulture with my front wheel head-on.  I was lucky that this big bird hit my bike at that location because if it had hit just about anywhere else, I probably would have been injured or went down.   My lady friend who was riding behind me said that basically the huge buzzard had just taken off the middle of the road and flew right into my front tire.   I was coming over a hill and came upon the road kill almost immediately with several vultures eating at it, as I was slowing down they all took flight in every direction and one of them stayed low and there was nothing I could do.   It caused quite a jar on the front of my bike but I was lucky the very dead big bird bounced to the right side of my bike and she almost hit the bird as she went by.   This is  not the first time that I've had problems with turkey vultures and even with real wild turkeys.   The vultures are huge and get off the ground very slowly and they seem to be totally unafraid of motorcycles.   One of our club riders hit a wild turkey once that shattered his windshield and broke his collar bone but somehow stayed upright after the hit.   Birds are just one of the common hazards that we all have to deal with.  By the way, that key streamer you are using will eventually cause a permanent scratch or mar the surface of your chrome gas filler cover.  Its happened to me before on a different bike just thought I would warn you about it.   Smiley

Yea I be been lucky with birds so far cooldude no bird strikes just yet. I know it's a matter of time.

I know the streamer might mar the finish, but I can't help myself. I think the irony of having a streamer that says remove before flight flapping around in the slip stream of a bike named after mythical woman with wings is too much to pass up.

I bounced a tiny little bird off of my helmet at about 60 mph once.  Loudest thing I've ever heard on a bike!!!  Shocked

My ears were ringing for an hour after that.

Haapened to me at 65 MPH.  Vulture  (or turkey vulture) was instantly pulverized into a cloud of feathers, guts all over the bike and locked up the front wheel.  Kept it upright until the final few moments then lost it.  Complete front end needed replacing, took the mechanics 3 days just to remove the bird guts from the bike.

I am a well-known, long term customer with my dealer bevause of it, but also because of it I still can't sleep on my right side, 13 years later.

Hit a deer 2 years later.  Both no fun.
