I own a black 2014 Valk. I hate the stock Master Cylinder Reservoir Covers. I ordered the Honda covers with the  " V "  on them. When they came in they had that stupid Jap printing on them and the normal DOT  FLUID INFO. Has anyone found any  BLACK covers without any of the printing engraved on them?  I am very disappointed with the lack of after-market items available for this bike. I had no problems finding nice stuff for my Honda VTX 1800 or my Suzuki M109 or even my 1100 Honda Shadow way back in the 1990's.

The covers are the stock covers that fit most bikes, so I cant believe you could not order another cover for say the Goldwing or VTX or even the F6B and not be a direct bolt on. If you look at the applications you will see they are pretty much all the same. They may not list our bikes just like my belly pan was not listed for my bike in fact they even said it would not fit but it fit fine. They dont want you to buy it have a problem and ship it back and they have not tested it for this application.

Robert, thanks for responding to my post. I have ordered a lot of  after market stuff over the years, and if I see that a certain part is not made for the specific model of bike I am putting it on, I try to avoid it.  I have not taken a close look at the master cylinder covers on the F6 or a regular Gold Wing to see if the shape and screw holes are in the same place as the ones on my standard Valk. Are you saying  that you think the covers are the same for all 3 bikes?  If so,  there would be a lot more available- like the 2 sites you mentioned in your post.

Exactly, certain parts are interchangeable between different models and years sometimes even different brands. Some have bought the Wing brake levers for the 1500 and I have heard some that bought it for the 1800. Brake masters if you look at the application guide listed in the links gives many models of bikes listed for the each with the same cover. I would bet that the VTX cover is probably the same as our 1800's or even easier I would bet our 1500's covers would be the same. I actually just looked at my 1500 and it looks like the same cover. So since there is no application for an 1800 just look for the 1500 brake master cover. Not all parts will be the same as say a Wing but just need to know what parts can be interchangeable.

@Robert : funny but weird somehow, as there's already a clock in the tacho  Roll Eyes

My problem is different : I'm not crazy about the brakes of the Valk, I must change the brake pads for Brembo or TWR Lucas pads but I'm not sure it will be enough. If not, I may have to look for a PR19 brake master, if it fits. Any idea ?

Today I measured the cover- length, width, and distance between the two screw holes. I will stop by the dealer and measure one on a gold wing to see if it is the same. If so, that will allow me to use a gold wing cover on my Valk.  The 1500 Valk has not been around for quite a while, so I am sure Honda has probably changed the size of these covers.

I went to my local stealer, I mean dealer and measured the Master cylinder cover on a Gold Wing and on a F-6 wing. Robert was right. The measurements were the same as my Valk cover. So now I know I can use those covers and there is a much bigger selection available to me as there are more after-market stuff available for the Gold Wing and the F-6 than there is for our Valks. Thanks guys.
