I will NOT be taking the Valkyrie to Bobz on Saturday.  The weather forecast says morning temp on Sat. is in the upper 30's with high in the mid 40's.  I am a candyass and I don't ride when it is under 50 degrees. Shocked

Hold tight on my rsvp.... I work friday and saturday night.  Let me check tonight when I go in "if" I can get off or not.  I think it will be a good time even if we have to ride in cages.  It's the visit that counts (for 50% of it  2funny he he ).  I'll let you know tomorrow John.

If the Valkyrie is not required count me and the wife in.  Valkyrie will be in pieces for a major carb. overhaul.  I don't have a cage but I do have a Mustang Bullitt! LOL

Good point Capt, didn't think of that, although my wife would certianly agree with you! That makes it a lot easy to work out as well. Salt Mine at 10, leisurely. Then move to the Dutch Kitchen for a good lunch and spend sometime kicking tires and telling lies, Stude31 will probably talk about his "Best Hamburger in the world" at some closed up burg in Allen.  2funny Maybe we could start planning December's ride then, everyone bring an idea!  cooldude JDW

Stude as far as I know it's planned. I plan to be at the saltmine Nov. 7th at 10 by bike or car if it's snowing. We can do the mine then go eat wherever we decide to go. Does that sound like enough plans?

Does anyone want to meet up in Newton or north Wichita to ride over somewhat together? I was thinking I would leave Andover and head for Newton to meet anyone else.

I am in the air with my job right now. Sad I will know better for me closer to thursday or friday.  Angry Sorry I can not get any firmer than that right now. 10 am at the Salt Mine is what I had in mind. Sounds like maybe ten of us or so depending on the weather should not be a problem getting in anywhere to eat. And by the way Raymond, QUIT using that four letter word SNOW! If I can make it we can meet here at Newton and ride over from here no problem.  coolsmiley JDW

Put myself and Firestarter down as Definitely, Probably, Possibly, Maybe's.

Family has plans that weekend, but if we can swing it I would love to make a Nov trip. I might be able to guilt Roadkill and his wife into going as well.

I haven't seen a post regarding whether this get together is officially set up.  I would like some clarification from the organizer.  What is the status of this meeting in Hutchinson, Kansas.  Is it go or no go.  If it is go the when?

Thanks

New subject, ride report.  Met with egnmet and stude for lunch today in Junction City.  Great little cafe in Grandview just west of Fort Riley.  Note to self, don't leave your cold weather gear in the interstate and ride the tourer in November in Kansas!  Hoser  uglystupid2

Were ON!  cooldude I think the plan is meet at the Salt Mine about 10 am, come by bike, car, dog sled, however you want. After the Salt Mine, we'll go eat lunch. It's a pretty ridged schedule, but I think we can make it work. 2funny Not a real organized event just a get together for fellowship!  angel JDW

Salt mine ride plans for Raymond and RHonda. We will be leaving the Park City Quik Trip at 8:30. We will head north 18 miles to Newton and make a quick stop at S. Kansas street and SE 14th in Newton (Broadway). Per Google Maps there is an Autozone there. We will be there right about 8:50, not a stop just a pass thru to pickup anyone who wants to meet there.

From there we will head west on 50 to the Kansas Underground Salt Mine muesem, it's 30.4 more miles. The Salt mine is on East ave.  G street. We do not have any special arrangements with the muesem so we will just buy our tickets and wait in line with whoever may be there. FYI I called the salt mine, tours go down every 40 minutes starting at 9:20. The second tour down will go down at 10:00 so lets try to be there by 9:45 and get in the 10:00 tour. Next tour down would be at 10:40.

Does anyone want to buy tickets now for the 10:00 tour?

After the Salt mine we will discuss lunch plans with whoever else is there.

It's supposed to 73 degrees so it's gonna be a nice day for a ride.

Please post here if I should look for you somewhere on my route.

Hoser & I hooked up today at his place and rode to Madison, Ks.  There were over 50 bikes there for the Retired Old Motocyclists Eating Out (ROMEO's).  Had a great time.  By the time I got back home this evening I logged around 350 miles.  Great day for riding.
