 Cheesy

I have a set of adjustable brake/clutch levers on my Tourer.

The brake lever has some sloppy play in it up and down. How do I get rid of that?

Does it mean the bushing is worn?

Sounds like that's your problem. Here's some info from Jeff K's Generic page to save a couple of bucks    cooldude

Clutch lever bushing

The Honda part Number 2285-MBO-006 is $10

The Suzuki part number 59892-08A00 is $3 and exactly the same part.

Part number two in the drawing

Nope, that's not what that particular bushing does.  See the photo below.

Up and down play is caused by wear in the pivot hole in the lever.  On the OEM levers, that hole is in a bushing that is pressed into the lever, and cannot be bought as a separate part.  Maybe it can be for Britman's aftermarket levers, but I'd be surprised.

Dropping the soap in the shower (together with your sweetie) always did it for me.  angel  Evil

http://www.bronzebushings.com/sae-841.html?cat=838 AM-812-16 SAE 841 Sleeve 8 mm ID x 12 mm OD x 16 mm OAL

These would work but they are .080/2mm shorter. Stock length is .707/18mm. Could order 2 10mm length and trim to fit. Easily done in a drill press.
