I received my coffee mugs the other day. This post has nothing to do with mis-labeling or packaging.

Our building has a covered ( shed style) roof off the parking lot for the lower offices with a sign pointing to the left stairs ( four of them) that say's Law Office. My wife's office is up a level. We receive a lot of flub-ex packages along with UPS.

I pull into the parking lot and see a package sitting near the apartment entrance some what. After about three times I finally looked at the package as I wanted my tenants to get their packages.
Well , It had my name with c/o my wife's name and office info on it.  It was just left on the sidewalk by the parking lot when they know where our office is. Yes , I know ,temporary holiday help.
I did receive them un-damaged and will give one to my brother 0ld2soon. By the way , he is joining us for Christmas and New Years.
MERRY CHRISTMAS and  HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL.

I got a fed ex package the other day deliverd by a local carrier.  Apparently they use temperary services in my area this time of year. Yes I know it was a fed ex package because I tracked it for several days on their web site.

I have a front porch that has a roof over it. I have had fed ex go out of their way to leave packages at my back door with no roof , in the rain and a couple of times just threw them on the sidewalk in front of my house.
Would it not be logical to put packages by the front door especially if its covered? Maybe i am expecting too much.

If you report this they will lose their bonus. if they haven,t already. For ups and fed ex it is "peak season".

Not True at all there are many temps here driving any manner of vehicles from Uhaul trucks to plain white vans with a tiny sticker on the door stating which service they are delivering for.

I wasn't thinking of hired services.....Out here in the sticks, I've never had anyone but an employee of UPS or Fed-EX deliver. A friend that works for UPS started as a Christmas temp, and was only allowed to sort, and load trucks. He moved up to driver after he was hired full time.

Today I went out to the mailbox. As I walked back into the house I see an envelope to the left end of the house in the shrubs. It's addressed to the Mrs, soaking wet, with a UPS label on it. I bring it in, dry it off and run the tracking #. It was delivered yesterday at 2pm, so it spent the night and most of the day out in the rain. It only weighed a few ounces, so it blew away yesterday after delivery. It was small enough to have fit into the mailbox or partially placed under the doormat.

UPS can't put anything in your mailbox. It is the property of the USPS even after you buy it ,it still belongs to them.

there really is no excuse for them not to deliver it to your door right in front or other place of common sense, just being lazy and/or careless is all.

Am sure after season, it will return to normal or it should.

I talked to my UPS driver and he said even in these small towns, it is INSANE the amount of packages he has to deliver this time of year.

I have told UPS and Fedex repeatedly, packages go on the dock, not on the front porch blocking the door passage.  I think they are tested for IQ before they are hired - anything above 75 is denied a job.  I had UPS leave a package ON MY VALKYRIE SEAT.  The new, custom made Russell seat.  I was livid. These dolts know nothing of biker protocol.  That's cause for justifiable homicide in some circles.

I never use any delivery service other than Canada Post and USPS for the reasons stated here as well as the post office always has cheaper fees ........ that has been my experience.
